Three Generations
It all started back in 1954 when Bill Housh (William Housh II) started a local heating company in Monroe, Ohio (north of Cincinnati) out of his garage with $500 in start-up money. Lenora, Bill's wife, answered the phones, kept the books and made the meals while Bill installed furnaces and air conditioners back when air conditioning was first becoming available in homes.
It became a family business when three of Bill & Lenora's sons joined the firm in the 1970's. Bill's youngest son William (William Housh III) stayed in the business and eventually purchased the company when Bill Housh retired in the mid-1980's. The company expanded into commercial and industrial heating, air conditioning, plumbing and refrigeration and is still a thriving business today led by third generation owner Will (William Housh IV) who joined the firm in 2003.
The Internet
In late 2005, Will Housh had the vision to offer filters and humidifier water panels on the Internet. DiscountFurnaceFilter.com was born in January, 2006 through the ecommerce company called Housh, Inc. One simple website quickly grew into a family of websites offering a wide range of trade-related products like filters, humidifiers, spot coolers, dehumidifiers, thermostats, furnace and air conditioner repair parts, registers, exhaust fans, and much more
